This is the present day Mansion and is located in the initial Strathmore venue. The Music Center came up later, after about thirty years. The Mansion was a private property between 1902 and 1979 until the Montgomery County bought the property for an Arts Center. Following renovations, the venue welcomed the public to its premises in June 1983.
