Strathmore has recently built up a third venue called the AMP which showcases bluegrass, rock & jazz acts on a regular basis.


Cabin John Regional Park

One of most fun things to do in Bethesda, Maryland with your kids is to visit the Cabin John Regional Park. It is one of the largest parks in the Montgomery County and offers its visitors plenty of options. The 2-mile train ride on a replica 1863 C.P.Huntington train is a favorite activity among kids. Other attractions of note include the Cabin John Ice Skating Rink, Tai chi court, Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center and the Robert C. McDonnell Campground. You can also find a 5-mile long hiking trail and a 9-mile long biking trail along the property.

Imagination Stage

Another center of excellence on performing arts, the Imagination Stage was founded in the year 1979 with an aim to provide young kids and teens affordable and quality arts education. Bethesda Salt Cave

Modeled along the line of a typical Himalayan Salt Cave, the Bethesda salt cave offers therapy sessions to its visitors who are suffering from problems such as sleeping disorder, asthma or allergies. Inhaling salt is believed to improve lung function and many who’ve been there, have been vocal on its benefits. The public sessions are usually around 45 minutes long, but a private session can be arranged upon request. In addition to this, the venue also offers yoga classes and oil workshops to name a few.
